Federal News Radio and David Blumenthal

Creating a nationwide electronic health records system is a big priority under the Recovery Act. Medical professionals will get up to $17-billion dollars to make the plan a reality. Dr. David Blumenthal is the National Coordinator for Health Information Technology at the Department of Health and Human Services. He joined Federal News Radio's Tom Temin and Jane Norris with the latest on the administration's efforts to create an interoperable, privacy-protected health information technology infrastructure.
